Young Scot Awards 2008: Teen Campaigner Umamah Ebrahim Is An Eco Queen

ECO warrior Umamah Ebrahim was thrilled to triumph in our environment category.

The 13-year-old, of Pollokshields, Glasgow, battled to save the park at the end of her street.

Umamah - presented with her award by Hollyoaks babes Zoe Lister and Leah Hackett - is now planning her next green project.

She said: "The Sunday Mail has given me the opportunity to bring environmental issues into the limelight.

"I'm so excited to win and plan to go on and save more parks."
