THIS Life star Daniela Nardini has swapped the bright lights of London for her home town of Largs.

The actress and partner Ivan Stein relocated to Scotland to be close to her family after having daughter Claudia, six months.

Daniela, 39, said: "It's probably just a temporary thing but we have come up for a year.

"When you have a new baby it's just nice to be around family. In London, while a lot of my friends have children, there wasn't a lot of support and I didn't want to go down the nanny route."

Daniela, who won a Bafta for her portrayal of wild lawyer Anna Forbes in This Life, said: "I'm filming in Lewis next week and I'm doing Nairn's Nightmares for BBC Children In Need.

"It's nice being back in Scotland for a bit. I would love to get more work and be based up here but we'll see."
