TWO of America's most famous indie icons are heading this way.

The legendary Blondie - led by singer Deborah Harry - will play Glasgow's Carling Academy on July 26.

The B52's will also play the Academy - on July 21 - to celebrate the release of Funplex, their first studio album for 16 years.

The wacky band from Georgia worked with New Order producer Steve Osborne on the record.
