Idina goes for fairytale pop career

ENCHANTED star Idina Menzel has set her sights on conquering the pop world.

The 37-year-old actress and singer is to release an album called I Stand.

Idina shot to fame on stage in New York and London with her performances in Rent and Wicked before appearing as Nancy Tremaine in the Disney hit film.

She said: "I'm rehearsing my band and we're doing a lot of promotion and then we'll hopefully be heading toward a tour.

"I'm so excited to have this time to focus on this one thing and sort of pour my whole heart into it."
