The stunning 22-year-old has a home in Orange County, near LA, where she owns an Irish bar which her parents run for her.
And Nadine told Email she lives there as much as her schedule allows.
She said: "I've been going there for the last three years. My parents and family are all over there so when I get time off I nearly kill myself with flying.
"If I have more than three days off I go to LA, then back again to start work, then over and back again and again.
"There is a lot of flying, I have lots of air miles racked up.
"It's beautiful there but very different to Derry of course. There are beautiful beaches in Ireland but it's cold. In LA you can be outside all the time, it's hot all year round.
"And not being recognised is brilliant. The only time anyone comes up to me is if they are on holiday from theUK or Ireland.
"Last year a whole crowd of Irish students on a gap year turned up exactly where I live.
"It was really funny. The place was like O'Connell Street in Dublin.
"I don't know how many times I have heard that I am supposed to be getting this American twang but I am not losing my accent.
What is wrong with these people's ears? If you said to an American that I sounded like them they'd laugh."
Nadine plays Glasgow's SECC with the girls on May 7 and 8.
She is single after splitting from Desperate Housewives hunk Jesse Metcalfe last year.
And she came 43rd in FHM magazine's 100 Sexiest poll, ahead of Kate Moss and Kylie but behind bandmate Cheryl Cole.
Nadine insists she doesn't take that seriously - although it does seem to answer those critics who have accused her of being too skinny.
She joked: "I laugh it off.
Imagine if I got myself really annoyed over it then dropped down next year to number 99.
You could get yourself in a deep depression with that.
"The funny thing with the whole skinny issue is I came back from LA with food poisoning and was shattered, feeling terrible, then worked all day. All the pictures that caused this fuss were taken when I was ill.
"It just depends on the picture. Later that same day I could maybe have been laughing and looked like I had a double chin.
"I want to tell young girls who see these kind of things not to read too much into a picture. Just think about when you have a night out with your friends - in some pictures you look great, in others you look terrible...all on the same night.
"They say the camera never lies.
That is a lie, it always does."
