The Feeling's Secret Weapon

THE FEELING will have a secret weapon when they play T in the Park.

The chart-topping group would love to perform a surprise Proclaimers' cover for their favourite festival crowd.

Before they shot to fame, The Feeling paid their dues as a covers band - playing two sets a night to the apres-ski set in the Swiss Alps.

Singer Dan Gillespie Sells said: "Our job was to do lots of 80s pop including songs by The Bangles, A-Ha and The Buggles.

"One of the bankers in our set was (I'm Gonna Be) 500 Miles.

We always got asked for it. It's a classic stomping, drinking anthem isn't it?

"It really gets people going and it would be great to play it at T in the Park, especially if The Proclaimers were there themselves.

"I'm not sure how they would react to us stealing their big song."

On February 18, the group release new album, Join With Us - which features the single I Thought It Was Over - and play Glasgow Barrowland on March 14.

The CD is the followup to their acclaimed 2006 debut Twelve Stops And Home which sold more than a million and got to No.1.

THE FEELING will be live in session tonight on my Clyde 1 radio show at 7pm.

They'll play exclusive tracks from Join With Us plus classic single Sewn.

My playlist also features new releases by Elbow, The Parkers and Vampire Weekend.
