CHRONICLES OF NARNIA:PRINCE CASPIAN (PG) ****

The precocious Pevensie kids return once again to Narnia the year after their first trip - only to find that 1300 years have passed in the magical land since their last visit.

And the mystical creatures of the wonderful world are again in dire need of their help.

I don't know why they would have gone back home in the first place. Why leave behind a life of royalty and talking lions for wartime England?

The evil King Miraz (Sergio Castellitto) is plotting to deprive Prince Caspian (Ben Barnes) of his rightful place on Narnia's throne in favour of his own newborn son.

Caspian survives an assasination attempt, goes on the run and teams up with the Pevensies (Georgie Henley, Skandar Keynes, William Moseley and Anna Popplewell) to overthrow the evil king and restore peace. They're helped by Trumpkin the Red Dwarf (Peter Dinklage) and mouse Reepicheep (voiced by Eddie Izzard).

Directed by Andrew Adamson - who helmed the first two Shrek movies - there are elements of humour, mainly from the talking mouse, which add a nice, light touch.

It's needed,as this is a much darker film than the first - and all the better for it.Look out for two epic battle sequences in particular.

WANTED (18) ****

Angelina Jolie for the boys, James McAvoy for the girls, fast cars, ridiculous stunts and more guns than Rambo could ever dream of - how could this movie be anything but a massive hit?

McAvoy is Wes Gibson,a loser fumbling his way through a dull life until he meets the glamorous assassin Fox (Jolie).

His father is killed and he is recruited into The Fraternity,a mysterious organisation which trains him to unleash his dormant, inherited talents. These include fantastic agility, lightning reflexes and the ability to bend bullets.

Trained by Sloan (Morgan Freeman) and Fox, Wes becomes an enforcer for a society which kills those deemed to deserve it for the greater good. Then he comes to realise all is not what it seems.

But who cares? Angelina, big guns and cars - superb
