Movies Out Now: Ratatouille and Resident Evil: Extinction

RATATOUILLE (U)

This wonderful Pixar family animation is set to be the biggest since Toy Story. The tale of a loveable rat who longs to be a chef helping out a kitchen loser, it's a heart-warming story with genuinely hilarious moments. Terrific fun.

THE NANNY DIARIES (12A)

A cautionary tale for all those young girls who go off to the States to work as nannies. Scarlett Johansson is the student who goes to work for a very rich New York family, taking care of a spoiled brat and dealing with their problems.

RESIDENT EVIL: EXTINCTION (15)

I like the Resident Evil movies and this is a good one. It's set years after the original Raccoon City disaster and the zombies are everywhere - human survivors travel around the empty world looking for safety. Creepy and scary.

BLACK SHEEP (15)

This low-budget horror is reminiscent of Peter Jackson's magnificent Bad Taste. A farmer has been carrying out genetic experiments on his sheep, turning them from placid grass-munchers to rabid human-eaters. Brilliantly stupid.

MR BROOKS (18)

Kevin Costner in good movie shocker?

Yes. He is Earl Brooks, a married man happy with his lot - except when his lunatic inner self Marshall (William Hurt) is whispering in his ear. Then he becomes the Thumbprint Killer.
