THE TRUTH ABOUT LOVE (15)
Jennifer Love-Hewitt (above with Jimi Mistry) stars as a happily married woman who sends an anonymous Valentine's card to her husband as a test. He hides the card and starts a chain of events which threaten their marriage.
HOT FUZZ (PG)
The geniuses behind Shaun Of The Dead finally return. Simon Pegg is the hotshot cop transferred to a sleepy country town where things start to go horribly wrong. A refreshing twist on a buddy movie, packed with laughs.
THE SCIENCE OF SLEEP (15)
A very strange film exploring the world of dreams and a bizarre crossover into real life. Gael Garcia Bernal is a young man dreaming of a wild, full life. When he falls for a neighbour his dreams and waking hours become blurred.
THE ILLUSIONIST (15)
After the wonderful magician movie The Prestige, we now have The Illusionist, with Ed Norton (above right) as conjurer Eisenheim falling in love with a girl out of his league. He uses his powers to try to win her over. Not bad.
THE UPSIDE OF ANGER (15)
Kevin Costner plays a role better suited to a man of his advancing years. He and Joan Allen are neighbours drinking themselves into oblivion as they try to jointly deal with their many problems. A grown-up movie.
