SHIELDINCH style icon Scarlett Adams steps up a gear when it comes to her wedding outfit.
The mouthy mum-of-four walks down the aisle in a leopard print dress and pink bolero jacket with flamenco sleeves for River City's wedding of the year.
But Sally Howitt - who plays Scarlett in the BBC soap - yesterday revealed it could have been much worse.
She said: "It was going to be a Strictly Come Dancing theme with her in a ballroom number. And a lot of people thought we should put her in a 1980s puff-sleeved, meringue dress.
"But this leopard-print fishtail dress made sense for Scarlett. And then we found the flamenco jacket, which is outrageous. It looks like she has fallen into a rose bush on the way there!
"It's typical Scarlett - vulgar and glamorous at the same time."
The fashion faux pas doesn't put off wheelchair-bound groom Jimmy Mullan (Billy McElhaney) who bravely uses crutches to walk into her arms.
She is due to wed alongside son Bob (Stephen Purdon) and fiance Charlie Drummond (June Brogan) but he gets cold feet, putting the nuptials in doubt.
Single Sally, 39, has no plans to follow Scarlett's style in real life.
She said: "If I was to get married it would be a small affair in a Tuscan villa with close friends and family - probably saying 'at last!'"
River City, BBC1, Thursday, 8pm.
