Teen breakdancer George Sampson clinches Britain's Got Talent victory

TEEN breakdancer George Sampson beat the odds to win the live TV final of Britain's Got Talent last night.

The 14-year-old busker received the most public phone votes for his Singing In The Rain routine.

George almost made the finals last year but triumphed at his second attempt on the ITV show.

He will now perform before Prince Charles at the Royal Variety Performance and receive £100,000.

After being told he had won, George cried tears of joy and said: "I'm speechless - wow. Just thanks so much. "You have changed my life."

Chief judge Simon Cowell told George: "You are the dancing version of Rocky, young man. You battled your way to the top. Congratulations." Dance duo Signature, who finished in second place, described George as "a worthy winner".

Scots choirboy Andrew Johnston, 13, shed tears after finishing third.

But judges Cowell, Amanda Holden and Piers Morgan stood and clapped.

Morgan said: "That was a brilliant, confident performance. You came out looking like a star and sang like a star."

Singing plumber Andrew Muir, 24, of Fauldhouse, West Lothian, finished outside the top three.

His local pub the Commercial Inn was packed with fans watching it live.

But his family claimed TV bosses cheated Andrew by making him sing John Lennon's classic Imagine.

Grandad Eddie Callaghan said: "Andrew was stitched up. He's never sung that song before and it's not his style."

Andrew said: "It's been great but I'll be back at my job on Monday."
