Singer sets his sights on Hollywood

ROD STEWART is nursing a secret ambition...to star in a blockbuster movie.

The 63-year-old rocker wants to emulate the Rolling Stones following the succcess of Martin Scorsese's Shine A Light rockumentary on Mick and Co.

Rod said: "I'd love to make a movie, just for posterity."

Meanwhile the singer, whose career stretches back to 1964 and includes hits such as Maggie May and D'ya Think I'm Sexy, is still happy on the road.

Dad-of-seven Rod said: "I don't do it like the Police or Genesis. They go out for six months solid. I don't want to do that.

"It takes me away from my kids for too long."
