BULLET IN A BIBLE (E) 5/5

Green day, the world's finest live rock band, played two legendary shows at the Milton Keynes Bowl in the summer of 2005 - for those not lucky enough to be there, this DVD captures thge energy and dynamism of the performances.  Now on Blu-ray, the film ebenfits massively from enhancements in sound and vision.  If you can't wait until they hit Glasgow in October, get your teeth into this.

The biopic of rapper Biggie Smalls follows the rise of young Christopher Wallace from chubby schoolboy to petty drug dealer to international rap superstar - and murdered icon, all to the sound of a hit-packed soundtrack.

THE UNBORN (18) 1/5

A real chiller.  Student Casey Beldon (Odette Yustman) begins having nightmares about a creepy little boy and eventually finds out she had a twin brother who died in the womb - and now wants to be born. One for those who love to be scared.

NICK AND NORAH'S INFINITE PLAYLIST (12) 3/5

Quirky teen romance set on a night out in New York's buzzing live music circuit.

The soundtrack is a big attraction, with bands including Vampire Weekend, Takka Takka, We Are Scientists and Band of Horses.

FRANKLYN (15) 3/5

Sin City-style dark tale which sees four seemingly unconnected lives crash together with dramatic results in a city where religion is compulsory. The impressive cast includes Eva Green, Ryan Phillippe and Bernard Hill.

PUNISHER 2 - WAR ZONE (18) 4/5

Plenty of action and lots of blood as the Marvel character Frank Castle - aka the infamous vigilante the Punisher - returns in this sequel set six years after the murder of his family with vengeance on his mind.
