HEROES SEASON 2 (15) 5/5
I love this amazing comic book-style sci-fi show - it's the best thing to come out of America since Jessica Simpson's cleavage.
Season one focused on a group of normal people who gradually realised they had special powers and were being drawn together to help save the world.
This second season deals with the fall-out from the first and also sees a new threat to the world appear. Obviously, otherwise it would be a bit on the dull side.
There are a few new characters, which caused controversy among fans, but surely it would become boring with just the same people every season? The focus is primarily on old favourites such as indestructible cheerleader Claire (Hayden Panettiere), allround superman Peter Petrelli (Milo Ventimiglia) and the lovable, comic time traveller Hiro (Masi Oka).
Peter wakes up in a container in Ireland with no memory, while Claire is in hiding with her family trying to escape the evil clutches of The Company. Can the Heroes pull together to battle against a new threat - a virus which will wipe out almost the entire population of the world?
This season was cut short by the American writers' strike and it wraps up very abruptly after just 11 episodes. Bring on season three.
27 DRESSES (12) 4/5
Grey's Anatomy star Katherine Heigl continues her step up to movie stardom with this quirky little romantic comedy.
Definitely one for the ladies, this is the story of Jane, who has been a bridesmaid 27 times but has never managed to snare herself a husband.
Journalist Kevin (James Marsden) wants to do a story on her and naturally falls for her but she secretly lusts after her boss George (Edward Burns), who is getting engaged to her sister Tess (Malin Akerman).
A movie that groups of wine-swigging girlies will love gossiping over on nights in.
THE HOTTIE AND THE NOTTIE (12) 1/5
This dire teen comedy is constructed entirely around Paris Hilton's catchphrase "that's hot"and is wrong on every level.
The message appears to be that getting cosmetic surgery is the only alternative to a life of mingerdom.
Paris is Christabel, who will only shack up with would-be lover Nate (Joel David Moore) if he finds a man for her ugly pal June (Christine Lakin). Nate helps her have a make over. So wrong.
