THE JUNGLE BOOK (U)

It's hard to believe this masterpiece was first released in 1967. The animation is stunning, the script and characterisation perfect and it's full of massive moments. Lap up the story of Mowgli, Shere Khan, Baloo and Bagheera again and again.

OCEAN'S 13(PG)

I'm glad this crime-caper franchise has come to an end. The first film was a laidback, smooth romp but the second was a disaster. This final chapter is a return to form with George Clooney, Brad Pitt and pals again on fine form.

Rating: *****

THE FLYING SCOTSMAN(15)

A charming tale starring the underrated Jonny Lee Miller with Billy Boyd. Miller is Scots cyclist Graeme Obree, building a bike from old spare parts and breaking world records as he battles depression. Boyd is a show-stealing presence. Rating: ***** MEMOIRS OF A GEISHA/ HERO/CITY OF GOD(18) This best of foreign cinema round-up is exactly that. Geisha is stunning, Hero is an epic action romp with dazzling fight sequences and City Of God gives an shocking view of life in Rio's slums.

THE GAME(18)

Another re-release for the twisted thriller that has the viewer in a state of total confusion. Michael Douglas is the businessman whose brother (Sean Penn) initiates him into a bizarre game, which turns his life upside down.
