AMERICAN DAD: SEASON 2 (12)
The best animated comedy on TV right now, this controversial, hilarious show is satire at its very best. How it got a 12 rating I don't know. It follows CIA man Stan Smith - an ultra-Yank super-patriot struggling to cope with family life.
Rating: *****
DREAMGIRLS (12)
Eddie Murphy is the best thing in this movie - not a line I ever thought I'd be able to write. Beyonce, Jamie Foxx, Jennifer Hudson and Danny Glover are also part of the impressive cast but the real stars are the songs.
Rating: ***
THE FOUNTAIN (15)
Is Hugh Jackman trying to break a workaholic record? This is one of his many films this year - a story about a pair of lovers through three different time periods. It sounds bizarre and is even stranger when you watch it.
Rating: *
THE OFFICE: AN AMERICAN WORKPLACE (15)
The US version of Ricky Gervais' hit comedy, starring Steve Carell. The Stateside version of the programme is much the same as our own but even more cringeworthy.
Rating: *
A CLOCKWORK ORANGE (18)
I was desperate to see this because of all the controversy. But the movie sucks. There's little or no coherent plot, ludicrous over-acting, paper-thin characters and pretty much nothing at all going for it. Terrible.
