MISSION IMPOSSIBLE 3 (12) 3/5
Not bad, not great - which is not what the backers of this big-budget movie want to hear. I found this action flick decent enough, with Tom Cruise being himself while Phillip Seymour Hoffman steals the show as villain Owen Davian.
THE WIND THAT SHAKES THE BARLEY (15) 5/5
Director Ken Loach excels with this portrait of 1920s Cork. Brothers Damian and Teddy join the IRA to fight the British occupation. Cillian Murphy is superb and the Irish take on events is refreshing.
TEACHERS: COMPLETE SERIES 1-4(15) 4/5
I enjoyed this witty, sharp series about the lives of teachers at a Bristol school. Andrew Lincoln of This Life fame starred but the big draw was the quirky script with its bizarre little incidents.
JAMIROQUAI: HIGH TIMES - THE SINGLES 1992-2006 (E) 3/5
Jay Kay and his band celebrate 14 years of hits with a massive selection of slick promos. Of course if you don't like Jamiroquai, this will be as inviting as a party at John McCririck's house.
NATIONAL LAMPOON'S BARELY LEGAL (15) 1/5
The best thing about this teen comedy is the cover - and that says it a ll. It's an American Pie-style flick about young lads who set out to make a porn movie to get girls. And that's it. Rubbish.
