Bayern Go For Gattuso

FORMER Rangers star Rino Gattuso is set to break the hearts of the Ibrox faithful by snubbing a return to Glasgow to join German cracks Bayern Munich.

The AC Milan midfielder had previously claimed he would make an emotional move back to Ibrox towards the end of his career.

And after a disappointing season for the Milan side the 30-year-old looks set to leave the San Siro as part of a huge summer clearout.

But any hopes of the Italian star coming back to Scotland are set to be dashed as Bayern will open talks on a bumper deal in the summer.

Gattuso was a fans' favourite at Ibrox after Walter Smith signed him as a teenager in 1997 but a spat with Dick Advocaat saw him move back to Serie A.
