GARRY BRADY admits facing Rangers won't be too much of a problem - because he has to compete with Fernando Torres every day.
The St Mirren midfielder's four-year-old son Ben is Liverpool-daft and the Spanish striker is the player he worships most.
But a solid performance from the 32-year-old and his team-mates at Love Street this afternoon may just knock Torres off his pedestal - for a short time at least.
And former Spurs and Dundee man Brady intends to do just that.
He said:"Ben adores his football. He is a big Liverpool fan and loves watching Torres in the Champions League. There's little I can do!
"But he'll be wanting me to do well in this game. If he's not at the match then he will watch it on TV.
"I have a lot to live up to. I hopewe can make a real game of it against Rangers.
"Not many people will give us a chance but I disagree.
"We were unlucky to lose to Celtic earlier in the season and if we are as disciplined as we were that day we'll do fine.
"Our results haven't been up to standard so far.
"But today would be the perfect time to kick-start our season.
"This will be our last game against Rangers at Love Street and we want to win it.
"I've never been on the winning side against them and it's time to change that."
Brady came close to signing for Gers when he was a school boy but opted to head to White Hart Lane instead.
Unfortunately for him, it didn't go to plan in London and he said: "Graeme Souness was the manager when Rangers wanted me - that shows how long ago it was.
"Being at Spurs was a great experience and I worked with the likes of Jurgen Klinsmann.
"I would have loved to have made a career in the first team there but it wasn't to be."
