Victory over Falkirk could kickstart our season, says Motherwell's Stephen Hughes

MOTHERWELL's Stephen Hughes reckons a win against Falkirk could start the Steelmen on a run.

Despite a ropey start to the season and a Euro exit at the first hurdle, last week's win over St Mirren at least hauled Well away from the bottom of the SPL.

And with Falkirk today, followed by Kilmarnock, Inverness and Hamilton, Hughes insists it's the perfect chance to recapture the magic of last season.

He said: "We need to up it a bit and the Falkirk game is massive. Win, and it is not looking too bad before the international break.

"We want to finish third in the SPL again. We've had a taste of European football and it's what we want again.

"There is still a lot to play for and no-one is hitting the panic button yet. We're not far away."
