SUPER-FIT Mark Reynolds played every minute of Motherwell's 44-game season, helping the club to third in the SPL and a UEFA Cup spot.
But the modest youngster insists he's still having to prove doubters who claimed he would never be a centre-half wrong.
The 21-year-old was a star performer despite being one of the smallest and lightest central defenders in the SPL at 6ft 2in and 10st 9lb.
And Mark, who started his career at left-back, insists he can shine at centre-half for Well and Scotland.
He said: "I need to be more aggressive but that will come as my body continues to develop.
"I'm probably the smallest, most lightweight centre-back in the SPL but I'm still young.
"I've had to prove doubters wrong who said I'm not tall enough. It doesn't help when the Motherwell website has me as 5ft 10in instead of 6ft 2in!
"But I have the best leap at the club and Fabio Cannavaro is just 5ft 10ins and he's a World Cup winning captain. Pace is also one of my main assets."
Reynolds has excelled with Scotland Under-21s but said: "Now I have to look at the full squad. That is the next step."
