MOTHERWELL boss Mark McGhee is set to swoop for Polish international Pavel Magdon.
The 28-year-old stopper was at Well's Scottish Cup tiewith Hearts yesterday and will spend the next three days at Fir Park training with the first-team squad.
Magdon's agent Raymond Sparkes said: "Mark told me he has been looking for a centre-half.
"And he will decide whether or not to take Magdon on trial for the rest of the season with a view to buying him from Polish First Division side Belchatow."
Magdon played for Poland's B team against Scotland at Rugby Park in 2005 and made his full debut for Leo Beenhakker's team last year, scoring in a 5-2 win over Saudi Arabia.
