KILMARNOCK were labelled as relegation candidates before the new season kicked off but have proved the doubters wrong, to the delight of boss Jim Jefferies
And after seeing his side go top of the SPL, the Rugby Park manager said: "It has been said that Dundee United will challenge for third place so we knew we'd have to play well here.
"To come to Tannadice and win shows that we may be on target for what we want to achieve this season - a top-six finish.
"So I'm happy. I enjoyed that result and also the performance.
"We kept possession well in the second half and the game plan we came here with worked a treat.
"Dundee United put some pressure on us but it was mainly crosses we had to defend and we coped well."
