SIMON FORD believes he'll return to Kilmarnock a better player after starring for Jamaica this summer.
The defender made his debut for the Reggae Boyz in a 5-1 friendly win over St Vincent and the Grenadines.
He also played against Trinidad and Tobago and Grenada and hopes to force his way into coach Rene Simoes' World Cup plans.
Simon, who is English with Jamaican parents, had a disappointing campaign at Rugby Park last term but is determined to re-establish himself in the team.
He said: "It was a great experience playing for Jamaica with the likes of Wigan's Marlon King and Ricardo Gardner of Bolton. The Premiership is the best league in the world and these guys are doing well in it.
"I feel I've gained from the trip. I didn't enjoy being out of the Killie team last season so I want to change that."
