Rory McAllister can save me a fortune if he stays in form, admits Caley Thistle boss Craig Brewster

CRAIG BREWSTER has challenged Rory McAllister to find a level of consistency and save him a small fortune.

The 21-year-old bagged a superb hat-trick in Herfolge to bail out a lacklustre Caley.

The Inverness boss has sold Marius Niculae to Dinamo Bucharest but he won't be given megabucks to spend as he searches for a replacement.

He also wants to take trialist Adam Rooney north to Inverness on loan after the Stoke City striker - who netted his second tour goal - impressed again.

And Brewster admitted: "I've been asking Rory for a response and he certainly gave me one. The three goals were taken superbly.

"Rory played some games last season and it's up to him to take on the challenge.

"I'm still speaking to Stoke about Rooney but I may need another striker.

"However, if Rory keeps doing well, who knows?"

Rooney flies back to Manchester on Sunday but Brewster is hopeful he will be back north soon.

Craig added: "I've spoken to Adam and he's certainly enjoyed his time with us. He feels relaxed in our squad."
