INVERNESS boss Craig Brewster admitted his side were almost blown away by Falkirk's whirlwind start.

The Bairns had the away side under the cosh from the start and shellshocked Caley struggled to impose themselves on the game.

Brewster confessed: "Falkirk passed us to death in the first half hour.

"In the second half we were a lot more positive and we had a great chance with Rory McAllister from six yards but it went wide.

"But they really killed us with the second goal.

"The players knew at half time Falkirk were more up for it and we had been second to most things in the first 30 minutes. They were far superior in that period.

"They had dictated the game during that period but we came back strongly.

"Overall it is disappointing because I had sensed a real buzz about the place in the last few weeks."

Falkirk skipper Darren Barr won the praises of his boss John Hughes at the end for another man-of-the-match display.

Yogi (below) admitted there had been enquiries about three or four of his players but believe they need to stick together to improve.

He said: "Both our full-backs are 19, Darren is 23, Carl Finnigan is 21 and there are a few others who are also quite young.

"Darren was outstanding but he needs to stick around. Some of our young players are not ready despite producing the goods today."

Barr agreed: "It is important we stick together as we are all still learning. It would be good to get some more experience in to help bring the young boys on.

"I am just delighted to be playing every week and that can only help me progress.

"Our aim now is to finish seventh so we have to stay focussed for next week.

"Some people might be in holiday mode but we are not.

"It is extra money for the club if we finish as high up the table as possible.

"It was so disappointing to miss out on the top-six spot against Aberdeen but we were unlucky.

"Yet at one stage we could have finished 10th which is scary so the past twowins have been great and seventh spot would be a decent result in the end."
