We'll use Celtic complaint about visiting Easter Road to fire us up, says Hibs ace John Rankin

JOHN RANKIN insists Hibs want to make Hoops chief Peter Lawwell eat his words - by giving Celtic a torrid time in today's Easter Road clash.

Rankin and his pals were raging at Celtic's implication during the fixture split row that the Leith ground was an easier venue than Tynecastle, home of city rivals Hearts.

Lawwell even demanded an explanation from the SPL why Rangers had dodged a tricky test at Gorgie Road and instead landed a third trip to face Mixu Paatelainen's men.

But Gers dropped points at Easter Road in midweek - and Rankin warned Hibs will be gunning for Hoops too.

He said: " I'm sure Celtic's complaint to the SPL will be mentioned a few times. I'm sure we'll use it as a fire- up."
