Mixu Paatelainen can get best from Dean Shiels, says Hibs team-mate Morais

FELIPE MORAIS has tipped Hibs team-mate Dean Shiels to set Easter Road alight this season - because he finally has a boss who believes in him.

The Northern Ireland midfielder was the only Hibee to leave Murrayfield last week with any credit after their 6-0 mauling by Barcelona.

Shiels had some sparkling moments in the glamour friendly while others froze against the La Liga outfit.

And Morais reckons the 23-year-old can shine this season thanks to Mixu Paatelainen's total belief in him.

He said: "Mixu believes in him and that's what Dean has needed. He has huge ability and can push us on.

"He should be proud of himself for the way he played against Barca."

Morais is still shellshocked after Pep Guardiola's side humbled them last week. Icelandic Eidur Gudjohnsen was a stand-out for the Catalan giants and after playing with him at Chelsea, Morais wasn't surprised by his display.

He said: "Eidur is just getting better. As for Lionel Messi, he's a machine."
