Nish: I'm Learning From Master

DIE-HARD Hibee Colin Nish turned in his best display for the club then revealed how he's learning from the master in boss Mixu Paatelainen.

The big hitman bagged his second goal since joining from Kilmarnock in January - and his eighth in nine games against Caley.

Nish also had a hand in Steven Fletcher's strike to cap a super display. His girlfriend and family were all in the stand to witness his star turn.

But Nish, 27, admitted any improvement in his game is down to working every day with former strike ace Paatelainen.

He said: "That was probably my best game for the club so far. I don't knowwhat it is about Caley but I've got a good record against them.

"It doesn't matter who I score against as long aswe get the three points - that's the most important thing. But I'm learning every day here under the gaffer.

"He is always passing on his views and telling me what I need to improve on. It definitely helps that he used to be a striker - he was an excellent player in his day.

"You pick up things from every striker you play with so it's like having an extra one here as the manager.

"He works hard with the frontmen in training and I practised a routine the other day that was similar to the goal I scored."

Nish revealed he has been asked to change his game at Easter Road and it's a task he's relishing. He said: "I play a different game now to the one I was used to at Kilmarnock but I don't want to give our tactics away.

"I like getting the ball to my feet instead of my head when most folk probably think it should be the opposite.

"I enjoy dropping off and playing other people in and I'm doing more of that here."

It has been a lifelong dream of Nish's to play for Hibs and Paatelainen hinted that may be taking a strain on him.

But Nish insists he's loving every minute of it and was delighted with the three points against Caley.

He said: "It was an important win for us but we only played for the first 25 minutes, we didn't do much after that.

"I'm not so sure I'm under any more pressure because this is the team I supported.

I'm settling in at the club better every day."
