I'll Turn Nish Into Big Fish Says Gaffer

MIXU PAATELAINEN reckons he'll soon transform £100,000 Hibs new boy Colin Nish into a £3million hitman.

The Hibs boss snapped up the 26-year-old striker from Kilmarnock on deadline day.

And Mixu now plans to turn the journeyman striker into a superstar.

The first step in the magical makeover will see the Hibs gaffer working on Nish's aerial ability.

Despite his 6ft 3in frame the frontman's best work is done on the deck and Paatelainen said: "I like his ability on the ground.

"I want all players including target men to play like that. He has a good touch, good awareness and links up well.

"He's a good finisher too but every player has weaknesses and his aerial ability, the way he goes for headers, is not spot on so hopefully we can improve it, develop him and make him a £2-3m striker.

"All the ingredients are there."
