Petrie: Bank On New Boss

ROD PETRIE has a reputation for taking a chance on young gaffers but the Hibs chief executive insists he isn't gambling by giving the job to 41-year-old Mixu Paatelainen.

While Tony Mowbray and John Collins were new to management Mixu has already proved himself by bringing success to Cowdenbeath and Finnish side TPS Turku.

So Petrie has no fears about his latest young boss being a safe pair of hands and said: "Mixu has had 100 games in charge so has more experience than previous gaffers.

"He's a leader, a big personality and the right guy to galvanise the club and take it forward."
