MIXU PAATELAINEN revealed double agent Donald Park was his secret weapon behind the win that got his Hibs managerial reign off to a dream start.
Assistant boss Park was Paatelainen's first appointment when he took over at Easter Road and the ex-Inverness number two gave the lowdown on his old club's weak spots.
Mixu said: "We trained and worked on stuff we wanted to exploit and it worked. Donald Park played a big part as he knows the Inverness players' strengths and weaknesses.
"This was a great start. I wanted to see a hungry performance because we have players with the ability to score.
"I would have been proud of Dean's hat-trick myself. I've seen him play for the first team and even in the reserves his attitude has been fantastic."
Inverness boss Craig Brewster hit out at his side's discipline after Phil McGuire got sent off with Hibs man Filipe Morais in a late bust-up.
He said: "I didn't see what happened but I'm disappointed. I said to the boys when things don't go for you it's vital to stay disciplined.
"I also mentioned before the game Hibs were going to get a lift from Mixu's appointment. There was more spark and zip about them than us."
