CHRISTOPHE BERRA brushed aside fresh fears of a cash crisis at Tynecastle - and warned Hearts chiefs yesterday's win will hit them even harder in the pocket.
Skipper Berra revealed the players have been given assurances last week's wages - which should have been paid on Friday - will be in their accounts early this week.
And with Jambos bosses insisting the problems were due to a "technical hitch" and not a squeeze on the club's backers UKIO Bankas, Berra claims there are no money woes among the players.
After the 1-0 win over Inverness, Berra said: "We have been told there has been a technical hitch with our wages and it will be sorted out this week.
"The way I look at it is we have won today and the club will owe us more money for a win bonus.
"I'm sure we will get the money and it's nothing to worry about. We put in a performance and that's all that matters.
"The attitude of the players was first class. we dug in and got an important victory.
"We're up to second in the table but aren't looking at that. What really counts is where we are in the last six or seven games of the season."
Inverness manager Craig Brewster felt his side did enough to earn a draw but was left bemoaning one moment of slackness.
Hearts keeper Marian Kello impressed with some important saves and his defence withstood several attacks.
Brewster said: "My only criticism is our lack of concentration at the goal when we switched off and Miko's pace killed us.
"But we showed great effort and if we could have done better in the final third it may have been different."
