UPBEAT boss Billy Reid reckons his Accies side are getting to grips with life in the top flight - and yesterday's win could be the turning point of their season.
Richard Offiong's clincher against Killie sealed their first league victory in more than two months.
And although Reid admitted it far from sexy football, he insists there was evidence his players are adapting to the demands of the SPL.
He said: "We're maturing now. We're in the second phase of games and I'm certainly learning. We didn't play as well as we have recently but got the three points so it feels like we've turned a corner.
"We're not getting carried away. We're a young side and will learn. Clean sheets are important, that's only our second of the season."
Reid (right) also praised goal hero Offiong and star keeper Tomas Cerny who pulled off a great stop to deny Simon Ford in the dying seconds.
The Hamilton gaffer said: "Richard has great potential and his attitude has to be on the money every week. Tomas is a very good keeper - losing a goal in the last minute would have killed us."
Kilmarnock boss Jim Jefferies couldn't believe his side lost or Donovan Simmonds' gaffe in front of goal as they chased a leveller.
He said: "We had two glorious chances but you've got to score when you get them.
"Simmonds' was the easiest chance of our season - I'm not sure how he put it over.
"We've not had as much in an away game for a while without coming away with anything."
