HAMILTON skipper Alex Neil insists Accies will become a major SPL force - because ambitious chairman Ronnie McDonald will never settle for second best.

The top-flight new boys have made a flying start and midfield ace Neil always knew they would thrive under McDonald.

He said: "Ronnie was in the bottom junior division with Maryhill and now he's in the top professional league with Accies.

"If a job takes three years instead of three months he is happy as it's a long-term solution.

"That's why Hamilton can be a big success. It might not happen this year or next - but it WILL happen because our chairman always gets what he wants."
