GRETNA chairman RonMcGregor last night admitted he hasn't been able to get in contact with administrator Davie Elliot to find out if the club has been handed a lifeline.
Yesterday's deadline has expired for potential bidders and it's believed football agent Paul Davies DID meet it by submitting an offer on Friday.
However, McGregor is still in the dark as he has never been given a mobile number for Elliot whose company's offices in Sheffield were shut yesterday.
The chairman said: "I have no idea whether Gretna will exist tomorrow. We're in limbo.
"Elliot doesn't have a mobile phone - or at least he hasn't divulged the number.
"We've called his office but being a Saturday there was nobody in. The administrator is coming on Monday but I don't know what will happen."
