FRANCK SAUZEE is delighted to see former Hibs youngster Steven Whittaker getting the chance to play in a European final.

Easter Road legend Sauzee remembers Whittaker as a talented schoolboy signing at Hibs and is delighted at how the 23-year-old has developed as a player.

He said: "Steven is still young but plays as though he has many years of top-level experience.

"His goal in Lisbon in the quarter-final was a perfect example and I hope he can make a similar impact in the final."
