Turner is kept waiting

RANGERS will decide at the end of this week whether to hand Northern Ireland midfielder Chris Turner a deal.

The 21-year-old has been on trial at Murray Park over the summer and is desperate to stay.

Turner, his country's Under-21 captain, is a free agent after leaving Irish side Bohemians and has impressed Ibrox coaches.

A Gers insider said last night: "Chris is a good player who has done well for us in pre-season games.

"We have him for another week then we'll decide."
