ALLY McCOIST switched on his phone 45 minutes after the final whistle in Florence on Thursday and was bombarded with requests for UEFA Cup Final tickets from sporting stars.
Jockey Frankie Dettori was one of those who got in touch after the semi-final win over Fiorentina and the Rangers assistant boss doesn't know how he'll cope with the demand.
McCoist smiled: "I had 153 texts waiting for me - a world record. Frankie Dettori and golfer Laura Davies have asked for tickets. Frankie loves his football and wants to be at our game.
"People looking for tickets comes with the territory and we just hope to get as many as possible to satisfy demand.
"The Final will be a great occasion and we hope to do ourselves justice. We will certainly enjoy it and hope to be able to look back on it without any regrets."
