FIORENTINA midfielder Fabio Liverani has hailed Rangers as one of the best defensive units in Europe - but vowed to end their UEFA Cup dream in Italy.
The Viola's anchorman wasn't surprised by Gers' approach in the goalless semi-final first-leg tie at Ibrox and is full of admiration for the resilience shown by Walter Smith's outfit.
But Liverani feels Fiorentina's attacking prowess will come to the fore at home on Thursday. He said: "The match in Scotland went as we thought - tactical with few spaces in the attacking third.
"Rangers are one of the best teams in Europe at playing a defensive system and it's so hard to score against them.
"That's why I believe this semi-final will now be decided by just one goal. And in Florence it will be a different story.
"We will dominate the ball and break them down. I am convinced we'll finish the job in Italy with a positive result."
