Change Will Be As Good As Rest For Skipper Barry

WALTER SMITH admitted he may give skipper Barry Ferguson a rest in the coming weeks.

The Gers boss knows his star midfielder has been playing despite an ankle knock recently.

But Smith, who picked up the SPL manager of the month award for March, understands it's a balancing act as his side lost 4-2 away to Hearts when he left Ferguson out earlier this season.

Smith said:"Wemay get a chance to rest Barry in the next few weeks.

"He's not the type of player that looks for respite - he enjoys playing and being involved in games.

"You are loathe to leave players like that out of the team."
