SPORTING ace Abel has revealed his favourite Scot is actor Sean Connery and he'd love to meet up with the former James Bond star this week.
The Portuguese defender was delighted to hear Rangers chairman Sir David Murray is a close friend of Connery and hopes the movie legend is at Ibrox for Thursday night's UEFA Cup clash.
But Abel had his own licence to thrill in Europe this season when he scored a spectacular goal against Manchester United to give his side a shock lead at Old Trafford in the Champions League.
The full-back said: "When I think of Scotland I instantly think of Sean Connery because he is my favourite movie actor.
"If he goes to Ibrox regularly then I hope he's there this week and I would love the chance to meet him.
"I'm sure as a friend of the Rangers president he will be wanting the home team to win on Thursday night.
"But I'm afraid I don't want Sean to be smiling on this occasion."
