Ivan: We Will Be A Klas Act

CLASSY Croat Ivan Klasnic insists Werder Bremen didn't even hit top form in last night's stunning win - and warned Rangers there's more to come.

That's an ominous message for Walter Smith's side given the German side's dominant display in the 2-0 victory that keeps them four points behind leaders Bayern Munich.

Klasnic's strike partner Markus Rosenberg was the hero in the Weser Stadium win that ensures Thomas Schaaf's men will head to Ibrox on a high for Thursday's UEFA Cup match.

And Klasnic hopes they can up their game in Glasgow.

He said: "It was good to get the win but it wasn't a good display from us, it was just enough to get the three points.

"It will be a great match because none of our players has played at Ibrox. But this was not our best - there's more to come.

"We played better against Eintracht Frankfurt last week and lost. In terms of confidence for the UEFA Cup match and the Bundesliga then this result was enough."

Klasnic hailed Rosenberg and reckons he'll be a handful for the Gers defence.

He said: "Markus was just unbelievable. His first goal might have been offside but the second was great.

"He's a good player and does a lot of running for the team and works hard. I was out injured for a year so I've only played a few times with him but I can already see his quality.

"I'm not a defender so I don't know what it would be like to play against him but I'm sure it wouldn't be easy. Hopefully he shows that on Thursday."

Klasnic admits he could face the wrath of former international team-mate and ex-Gers idolDado Prso if he helps Bremen to a win over the Light Blues.

He said: "My good friend Dado used to speak a lot about Rangers and said they're a good team. He enjoyed his time in Scotland.

"I haven't spoken to him for a while but I'm sure I'll phone him after our two games "But I don't think he'll be too happy to hear from me if I help Werder Bremen win!"
