HOTSHOT Mario Gomez scored to give champs Stuttgart their third win in eight days and end a form slump.
Stuttgart, who prop up Rangers' Euro section, beat Nuremberg 1-0 with Gomez dribbling past two players before scoring to lift his side clear of the drop zone.
At the top, Bayern Munich's lead was cut to two points after a 0-0 draw with Eintracht Frankfurt while closest rivals Hamburg beat Hertha Berlin 2-1.
