BURTON O'BRIEN hopes a return to Scotland puts him back in the international eye - and eases the pain of being snubbed for a cap-call twice in a month.
The Falkirk midfielder was being courted by Scotland and South Africa - his country of birth - after his stunning run of form at Livingston earned him his move south to Sheffield Wednesday.
But the classy playmaker ended up a two-time loser when he had to turn down then-boss Walter Smith to honour his word, only to be told by FIFA his African adventure was dead as well.
Now Bobo aims to restore his reputation in Scotland at club level and finally make his dream come true.
He said: "I've been away for three years and firstly I have to establish myself in the Falkirk team.
"I'd also like to break into the international scene.
I was a long way down the line with South Africa. So when Walter came in I told him I had given my word. Then FIFA rejected my eligibility a month later."
