Oldies are all the age

LEE BULLEN reckons he has the SPL's golden oldies to thank for his move to Falkirk.

The ex-Sheffield Wednesday star, 37, was signed on a two-year deal by John Hughes in May.

And Bullen insists the exploits of Andy Millen, 42, Craig Brewster, 40, and 38-year-old David Weir last season proved age is irrelevant.

He said: "Those three are flag bearers for us older guys and proved it's possible to play well at an advanced age in the SPL."

Bullen, joined at Bairns by Jackie McNamara, 34, and 33-year-old Neil McCann, said: "The boss hopes our experience is the final piece of the jigsaw."
