FALKIRK are now at the front of the queue to sign Kilmarnock contract rebel Colin Nish.
Bairns manager John Hughes is pulling out all the stops to beat off interest from Oldham and Hibs and secure the striker's signature on a pre-contract agreement that would see him join on a Bosman at the end of the season.
Meanwhile, frontman Graham Barrett admitted losing captain Steven Thomson to Brighton last week was a huge blow to Falkirk.
Barrett said: "Brighton are getting a fantastic professional in Stephen. He is a box-to-box player and has a bit of everything.
"It's a blow for us but we have a lot of good players so hopefully we will be okay."
