JOHN HUGHES fears his team will only wake up and smell the coffee when they read this morning's Sunday Mail.
The Falkirk boss tried to spell out the relegation danger facing his club after an emphatic beating in the Highlands.
Hughes refused to aim both barrels at his young players but is desperate to inject the sense of urgency he already feels amid a difficult spell.
Hughes, who saw veteran Russell Latapy kept quiet, said: "The way we are conceding is disappointing. We need to work at it and address it.
"I can only give advice from my own experiences. What I did in this situation was train like a champion.
"I then took it out on the pitch and nine times out 10 it got me through.
"We are in a dogfight - a relegation battle. I want that spelled out in big, black letters.
"I'm 42 and I could play at the pace we want to play sometimes."
