CRAIG LEVEIN backed his shot-shy side to get it right - and even tipped Francisco Sandaza to hit the 20-goal mark before the end of the season.
The Dundee United gaffer was upbeat despite the Tannadice men hitting rock bottom of the SPL without a league win this season after going down 2-1 away to 10-man Hibs.
But Levein (left) refused to press the panic button ahead of Saturday's clash at Aberdeen. The Arabs boss knows his side are making chances but failing to take them with Spaniard Sandaza particularly guilty.
On an afternoon when they also met Yves Ma-Kalambay on inspired form, Levein sighed: "It was one of those days. We had so many chances and sometimes it's just not to be.
"I could go through a list of times we should have scored but I watch players every day in training and know who can put the ball in the net.
"Sometimes in games it doesn't happen but Sandaza will score goals. I'd stake my reputation on him getting 20 goals this season. We'll re-group and go again next week."
Delighted opposite number Mixu Paatelainen said: "The guys were fantastic, especially down to 10 men and with a fair bit to go. We showed great spirit."

DAVID SOMERS can be happy with his day's work. The only debate over Sol Bamba's red card was whether the defender should have been sent off after his initial booking. Rating: 6/10.
