PETER HOUSTON hailed injury-hit Jon Daly after the United striker marked his return to action with a goal.
Daly, who has suffered major injuries in his 18 months at Tannadice, provided a major boost for a reserve Arabs side.
Assistant boss Houston said: "I was happy with the result and display but the important thing was seeing Jon again. We are pleased to get him back."
Marco Andreoni shot United ahead in 32 minutes from the spot with John Gemmell levelling it four minutes later.
A penalty from the Terrors' David Goodwillie made it 2-1 in 55 minutes before Mark Ramsay replied soon after.
But United wrapped up the win with Goodwillie and Daly both on target late on.
Beath gaffer Danny Lennon, said: "We lost two soft goals but our young defenders will learn from that experience."
